Services: Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

Poland - Maria Niro, 84, passed away Tuesday at the Hospice House in Poland. Maria was born on October 6, 1924 in Castelbotaccio, Italy, a daughter of Vincenzo and Dolorata Niro DeOto. She married Luigi Niro on March 13, 1944. Maria went to Buenos Aires in 1949 and came to the United States in 1967. She worked as a seamstress at the Moyer Pant Company from 1968 to 1985. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Maria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves her son Michael (Sue Ann) Niro of Poland; a sister, Pasculina DeOto of Buenos Aires; two grandchildren, Maria A. (Steve) Hoffmaster and Delores (Mark) Beith; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Isabella Hoffmaster and Jessica and Jacob Beith. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Luigi, who died July 22, 1970 and a brother, Michael DeOto.
