Boardman – A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday at St. Luke's Church in Boardman for Margaret "Peggy" Pompoco Ault, 75, who died at her residence Saturday night surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy was born April 21, 1940, in Struthers, a daughter of James and Katherine Millard Pompoco.
She attended St. Nicholas Grade School and Struthers High School graduating in 1958. She worked at Kmart and then as a toll booth operator for the Ohio Turnpike Commission, retiring in 2000.
She married her high school sweetheart, Allen "Butch" Ault on February 11, 1961 and he passed away December 7, 1985.
Peggy was a member of St. Luke's Church and served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the church's bocce league. She was a past member of the Boardman PTA. After she retired, Peggy wintered in Ft. Myers with her companion, Jerry. Her greatest joy was being with her family and eating out on Saturday evening with her friends. She found great joy in hosting her family for Sunday dinners.
Peggy leaves her two sons Bob Ault (partner "Buck" Bucklin) of Wadsworth and Michael Ault of Boardman; three daughters Patty (Ken) Brown of Canfield, Kimmie (Mike) Vanasdale of Boardman, and Terri Ault of Boardman; one sister Elaine (Don) Powell of Boardman; six grandchildren Kenny (Molly) Brown of Gahanna, Michelle (Tim Bestic) Brown of Austintown, Johnathan (Gianna Sansone) Vanasdale , Tiffany (Shawn Haynes) Vanasdale , Jared (Alexis Madeline) Vanasdale and Taylor Vanasdale all of Boardman, her long time companion, Jerry Compton, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Butch, and one brother James Pompoco.
Friends may call Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers and on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Luke's Church in Boardman, one hour prior to mass.
