North Lima – A private burial will be held for Lillian "Marcy" Marcella Perkins, 88, who passed away at the Assumption Village Nursing Home on August 1, 2016. Lillian was born February 2, 1928, in Bessemer, PA, a daughter of John N. and Carrie Mack Gerner. She graduated from Mount Jackson High School in 1947 and married Lewis F. Perkins on November 10, 1949. She lived in the area her whole life and grew up on a farm, which she truly enjoyed.  Her hobbies included gardening, working puzzles, and crafting. Her creativity made it possible for her to create something beautiful out of nothing. Lillian leaves eleven nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews and ten great-great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lewis, who died December 24, 1984; three brothers Charles, Donald, and Edward Gerner;  two sisters Lucille Gerner Reesh, Bessie Gerner Shotts and one niece. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Assumption Village and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Marcy.
