New Middletown – Services will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church 10857 Main Street, New Middletown, OH 44442 at 12:00 PM Noon on Wednesday June 17, 2026 for Leslie Gail Wire 76, who passed away on Sunday afternoon June 14, 2026 Leslie was born on October 15, 1949 in Salem, OH, a daughter of Lester and Margaret Ann Fry Moore. She lived in the area her whole life and worked at Farmer’s Bank for 30 years as a teller in the loan department. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, and helped cater the church luncheons. She was also a member of the Historical Society in Petersburg, Ohio. Leslie married Roland A. Wire on May 25, 1968 and he passed away on January 6, 2015. She leaves two sons, Robert A. (Alice) Wire of North Lima, OH, and Ross A. Wire of Petersburg, OH; one daughter Lisa (John) Angelilli of Poland, OH; two sisters Nancy Johnson and Marcia Nelson both of Petersburg, OH; four grandchildren Justin, Ryan (Ally) , Nathan and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roland. Friends may call two hours before the service at the Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
