New Middletown - A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesdy, September 20, at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown at 10:30 a.m. for Kathryn Vlasic, 100, who died Saturday at Masternick Memorial Healthcare.

Kathryn was born on January 5, 1917, in Rankin, PA, a daughter of John and Louise Markovic.

She married Nicholas Vlasic and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1998.

She was a former member of St. Nicholas/Christ Our Savior Church in Struthers before moving to New Middletown and joining St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Kathryn leaves two nephews Joe (Barbara) Markovic of Maryland and George Markovic of Pittsburgh, great nieces and nephews, and her dear friends and caregivers with whom Kathryn lived for many years, Ivan and Theresa Franjko of New Middletown.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Joseph and John, a young sister Helen, and a niece, Andrea.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Masternick Memorial Healthcare and Southern Care Hospice for their kindness and the compassionate care that they gave to Kathryn.

Friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:15 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
