STRUTHERS - June Florence Larson Anderson departed this life surrounded by family on April 27, 2016. She was born on June 14, 1924 to Eunice Florence Holcomb and Olaf Axel (Al) Larson in Ashtabula, Ohio.  The family eventually moved to Youngstown, Ohio where she lived her entire life except for the years she served as a Navy WAVE in Washington D.C.  She married David Dalton (Shawty) Anderson on March 30, 1946.  They had six children, one of whom, Arthur Robert, died at child birth. She worked as a school secretary prior to the birth of her children at which time she then devoted herself to raising her family.  After her children were on their own, she drove school bus for the Poland School District.  She loved to sing and sang in Mother Singers and her church choir. She served as an elder and a deacon in her church. Her hobbies included bowling, square dancing and traveling. She is survived  by her five children: sons Hugh (Teena), Neil (Donna), Craig (Mary) and Wayne (Cindy) Anderson and daughter Beth (Frank) Zupko along with nieces Barbara Anderson and Diane (Chuck) Newman whom she considered like daughters. She had sixteen grandchildren and 20  great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Ray (Gladys) Larson, many cousins, nephews and nieces and numerous friends including her caregivers Betty, Judy and Patti. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years and a brother (Edward). Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, April 30 at Clemente Funeral home in Struthers from 4:00 to 7:00. On Sunday, May 1 viewing will take place at Heritage Presbyterian Church from 12:00 to 1:00 with a service of celebration occurring at 1:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heritage Presbyterian Church, Hospice of the Valley, or a charity of one's choice.
