- Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Julianne H. Thompson, 75, who died Saturday. Julianne was born January 9, 1940 in Poland, OH, a daughter of Clark and Helen Wereb Hiet.  She married Donald J. Thompson on July 4, 1962.  She worked at General Electric as a machine mechanic at the lamp plant and retired after 38 years.  She loved gardening and crocheting.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Julianne leaves her two sons John P. (Julie) Thompson and Mark E. (Jennifer) Thompson both of Petersburg and one daughter Helen A. (James Jr.) Touville,  also of Petersburg, one brother Clark Hiet of New Springfield, eight grandchildren Tiffany and James III Touville, and Elizabeth, Ryan, Sean, Christian, Riley and Abigail Thompson, and her constant companions Daisy and Oddball. Julianne was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who died January 6, 2010. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all those who enabled Julianne to remain in her home especially her "adopted daughter" Barb Peluso. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.
