Joseph was born February 23, 1930, in Campbell, a son of Thomas and Anna Justine Rugole Zlatich. He moved to Struthers in 1937 and was a proud graduate of Struthers High School and continued his education to become a certified orthotist. He served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1952. He worked for Riffle Orthotics and then Avry's Orthotics retiring in 1995. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish St. Nicholas where he was an usher. He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #66 where he served many years as secretary. He was a Struthers High School Booster Club member and a long time member of the Youngstown Ski Club. He leaves his sister Violet M. Hudzik of Poland. Uncle Joe cherished his nieces and nephews and took an active role in their lives. He leaves Beth Ann (Thomas) Moran of Cnafield, Thomas R. (Cheryl) Hudzik of Salem, Janice Lynn (Frank) Nemick of Columbiana, who was also his god daughter, and Gary Dlacich of Struthers, great nieces and nephews Stephanie, Melissa and Ashley Hudzik and Nicholas, Taylor, and Jarrett Nemick. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Beatrice and William Dlacich, nephew William Sean Dlacich and brother-in-law Thomas J. Hudzik.
