He graduated from Struthers High School and immediately following graduation he enlisted in the Army Reserves, where he served for 12 years. After completing his service, Joe enrolled and graduated from the New Castle School of Trades, where he went on to become employed by Coca Colas Enterprises for 18 years as a service technician. Joe was a loving husband and devoted father, who lived every day for his wife and kids. Generous and kind- hearted, he was the type of man who would go out of his way to help anyone at the drop of a dime. Joe's passion for sports led him to coach his children throughout their youth in various sports, including football and baseball, where he was known as (Mad Dog). He was a diehard Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, as well as a NASCAR enthusiat. Joe is survived by his beautiful wife of 26 years, the former Teresa Herrick of Girard, and his sons, Joey, 24 of Akron and Tim, 21 of Cincinnati, as well as his older brother Robert,51, of Struthers.
