Struthers - Joseph G. DuCoeur, 88, of Struthers passed away Sunday afternoon at his daughters house in Struthers. Joseph was born on March 5, 1920 in Charleroi, PA., a son of Joseph A. and Germaine Frere DuCoeur and came to this area in 1982. He was a retired Presbyterian minister having served 38 years in places like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Vermont and Washington D.C. He attended Bethany College in West Virginia and graduated from the Grove City College. He then graduated from the Western Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the Grove City Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He was a Lions Club member and was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his pet parrot named Bingo. Joseph married the former Lucille Bell on November 23, 1944 and she passed away on January 9, 2002. He leaves one son Raymond R. (Georgia) DuCoeur from West Newton, PA., one daughter Yvonne L. (David) Thomas of Struthers, OH., six grandchildren, Jeneen Thomas, Joseph (Valerie) Thomas, Danielle (Scott) DuCoeur, Devin DuCoeur, Mary Iris DuCoeur and Lucy Maria DuCoeur and one great grandchild Lucielle Thomas. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother Raymond B. DuCoeur.
