North Lima - JoAnn Barrett Traficant, 70. For 70 years, JoAnn Traficant embraced the earth with her zeal for life, beautiful spirit and grace. On Dec. 24, 2010, our Heavenly Father called her home for the Christmas celebration in heaven! In addition to her husband, Salvatore (Sam) Traficant, to whom she was married 50 years, JoAnn also leaves a legacy of love and joy through their five children and spouses and their 12 grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren include, Jim and Gwen Traficant with their children, Ashley and Jeremy of Lorton, VA; Jodie and Mark Zitricki, with their children, Blake and Brook of Hudsonville, Mich; Sherry Iaderosa and her children, Mia and Nina of Canfield; Melanie and Brent Browning and their children, Rachel-Ann and Tori of Springfield, Tenn; and Ami and Don Elliott and their children, Madison, Carson, Katelyn and Owen of Wexford, Pa. JoAnn was a sister, to Sue Baird of Columbiana and Mary and Tom DeCesare of Seminole, Fla. A few had the privilege to call her aunt, many had the joy to call her cousin and all that knew her had the blessing to call her friend. On Christmas eve, JoAnn ended her three-month ordeal with lung cancer. She lived a full and selfless life touching all that knew her. She was always upbeat, very fun and a great encourager. For the past 20 years,JoAnn worked for Estee Lauder as a make-up artist and enjoyed helping women feel beautiful. Her customers and co-workers realized that it wasn't the make-up making them feel beautiful-it was JoAnn reminding them of their internal beauty. It was truly her gift. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
