Visitation: Friends may call two hours before the service at Clemente Funeral Home on Wednesday from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Poland - Joan L. Simion, 77, passed away on Sunday evening at Greenbriar Quality Care of Boardman. Joan was born on May 28, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Alice Cruickshank Lucas. She lived in the area her whole life. She was a homemaker and liked to play bingo and travel to Las Vegas and go to Mountaineer. Joan married George Simion, Jr. on June 16, 1951 and he passed away on Jan. 8, 2006. Joan leaves one daughter, Brenda L. (Jeff) Zimmermann of Poalnd; one brother, Charles (Diana) Lucas of Youngstown; and three grandchildren, Bryce, Tyler and Brianna. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one sister, Eleanor Dudek.
