NEW MIDDLETOWN-Jennie Yanchick, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at Hospice House in Poland,OH. Jennie was born in Campbell on May 10, 1926, a daughter of John and Mary Malazia Globeck. She graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1944 and married George S. Yanchick on November 18, 1950. Jennie was well known for the delicious kolachi she made for the holidays. She will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness and generosity to those who knew her. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family. Jennie leaves her son George (Jadwiga) Yanchick of Poland; a daughter Susan (Gerald) Smith of Poland, a sister Stephana Thomas of Austintown and six grandchildren, Michael Yanchick of Poland and Erin Yanchick of New Middletown, Jeffrey and Thomas Smith (and his fiance Theresa Mottle) of Poland and George and Jessica Yanchick of Poland. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, George who died June 30, 1996, a son John Yanchick, two brothers Stephen and Emil Globeck and a brother-in-law Bart Thomas. Private services were held Thursday, as Jennie requested of her family.
