Boardman – A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 11, at 10:00 am at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown for Jeanette K. Bodnar, 93, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away Saturday, February 4, at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman.
Jeanette was born April 15, 1923, in Youngstown a daughter of Dominic and Amelia DePinto Vasel.
She graduated from East High School in 1942 and worked at Commercial Shearing and then did piece work at Moyer's Pants Factory from where she later retired.
She married her late husband William "Bud" Easton and then married Louis J. Bodnar on February 23, 1968.
Jeanette was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, and was an avid member of East Side Civics. She enjoyed bowling, bocce and loved to dance.
Jeanette leaves two daughters Janice Kutsko of Youngstown and Katherine Easton of Cortland, one grandson David Brown, three granddaughters Deborah Brown, Tina Longo and Laura McDermott, and three great grandchildren Rhianna, Karli and Angelina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands William "Bud" Easton and Louis J. Bodnar, and three brothers James, John "Jack", and Raymond Vasel.
