Struthers –A prayer service will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 12:30 pm at Clemente Funeral Home

followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Christ Our Savior/St. Nicholas Church, both in

Struthers, for Janine M. Miely, 69, who died on Thursday, March 13.

Janine was born November 28, 1955 in Youngstown, a daughter of Felix Anthony and Mary Louise

Skoloda Miely. She worked joyfully as an activities aid at the Purple Cat and was a member of the Christ

Our Savior/St. Nicholas Church.  Janine enjoyed making flannel blankets and seasonal wreaths for her

friends and family, cooking family dishes, the beauty of lighthouses and the majesty of the ocean. She

was a huge Disney fan, going first to Walt Disney World with her best friend Kathy Tolich in 1974 and

then many more times with her son, including once to Disneyland in California. Her last park visit was in

early 2024, the same year she fulfilled her adulthood dream of visiting Lambeau Field to see the Green

Bay Packers.

Janine leaves behind her son, Joshua A. Miely, with whom she lived; her brother, Felix Dominic Miely of

New Castle; four nieces and nephews: Danielle Miely, Machele Miely, Ryan (Chelsea) Miely, and Jared

Miely; three great-nephews: Dominic and Dakota Phillips, and Michael Miely; and her beloved mini

golden doodle, Charlie. Janine was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call on Tuesday evening, March 18, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral

Home at 700 Fifth Street in Struthers, 44471.
