Youngstown - Janice M. Long, 79, of Campus Health Care in Youngstown, formerly of Struthers, passed away on Monday at Forum Health North Side Medical Center ER. Janice was born on September 3, 1930 in Newton, West Virginia, a daughter of Bernard and Mary Griffith Cruikshank. She graduated from Byesville High School. Janice married Samuel M. Long on April 25, 1958. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and her grandchildren. Janice leaves her son Samuel C. Long of Niles, three daughters, Denise (Frank) Simon of Liberty, Debra (Barry) Mederrick of Israel and Brenda Long of Sacramento, CA., one brother, Earl Cruikshank of Florida, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her husband who died on Jan. 13, 1991, three brothers, Jack, Gene and Russell Cruikshank; three sisters, Bernice Olshawsky, Jenny Heider and Effie Edmunds and one granddaughter.
