YOUNGSTOWN - James Seivert, 83, passed away Monday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. James was born September 2, 1928, a son of Michael and Elizabeth Sarsfield Seivert in Youngstown. He married Nora Ferrante on August 7, 1948 and worked as a welder for 35 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, from which he retired. He was a member of St. Dominic Parish. James leaves his wife, Nora; three sons, Michael (Barbara) Seivert of Canfield, James (Melanie) Seivert of Columbus and John Seivert of Youngstown; two daughters Nora Elizabeth (Arthur) Estes of Youngstown and Diane Seivert of Aklachaka, Alaska; two sisters, Elizabeth Reese of Fullerton, Calif, and Marian Duffey of Jackson, MO; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, Edward, Michael, Jack and William; and one sister, Gertrude Harris.

Memorials: Family requests that in lieu of flowers, material tributes be made in James' name to St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44507.
