Obituary

Petersburg – James H. Osikiewicz, 76, passed away suddenly at home on February 23rd in the presence of his wife.

Jim was born on October 20, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Henry and Anna Bezjak Osikiewicz.

He served in the United States Army National Guard. He was employed as a master carpenter, working for Ostivoch Construction and then Valley Acoustics before retiring in 2002. He lived in Youngstown and moved to Petersburg in 1997.

After retiring Jim remained active doing odd carpentry jobs and contributing his talents to the building of his son Chris'  house who is also his neighbor. Jim loved living in the country and enjoyed his retirement with his cat, Kitty, his dog, Riley and his family.

Jim married Virginia Sveda on July 18, 1964.

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Jeffrey A. (Beth) Osikiewicz of Dover, OH and Christopher J. (Denise) Osikiewicz of Petersburg, OH; one sister Shirley (Joseph) Carlini of Canfield, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no calling hours or services.
