Poland – A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 11:00 am at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown. Interment will follow at Green Haven Cemetery for James H. Eidel, Sr., 83, who died Thursday, March 19, at the Hospice House in Poland, surrounded by his family.

James was born July 27, 1942, in Middletown, New York, a son of Alice Eidel.  He graduated from Middletown High School. He then served in the Air Force and went on to acquire his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Kent State University. James worked at Ohio Edison as a substation engineer until he retired.  He married the former Sandra Kay Beasley on February 18, 1995.

James leaves his wife, Sandy, five sons James H. (Todd) Eidel, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Timothy (Scott) Eidel from Georgia, Christopher (Deanna) Eidel of Portage Lakes, OH, Ryan (Heather) Cusick of Poland and David (Kasia) Cusick of Naples, FL, a brother Dwight (Bernice) Sommers of New York. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren Lydia, Jeffory, Ericka, Tiffany, Alexis, Jessica, Hailey, Michael, and Lucas and 2 great grandchildren Mason, and Kazeem.

Friends may call on Monday, March 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home at 10170 Main Street in New Middletown, 44442. There will also be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 am on March 24 before funeral services.
