Poland – Services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for James L. Davis, Sr., 81, of Poland, who passed away on Sunday evening.
James was born on September 9, 1932 in Malta, Ohio, a son of Emmett and Mary Davis Hann.
He came to this area as a young man and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company and then was self-employed and owned and operated, along with his wife Janice, both the Atlantic Sales Furniture Company and the Triple D Campgrounds in Berlin Center, Ohio. James was a member of the Youngstown Eagles, Lodge 213.
James married the former Janice A. (Tootie) Stump on March 8, 1952.
He leaves his children, Cheryl (Patrick) McWreath of Youngstown, James L. (Laura) Davis, Jr. of Diamond, Ohio and Dennis (Judy) Davis of Youngstown; one brother, John O. (Marge) Barkhurst of Malta, Ohio; two sisters, Julie (Nick) Fountain and Janie (Howard) Eakes, both of Raleigh, North Carolina and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
