Services: A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
Visitation: Friends may call on Monday, one hour before the service, at the funeral home from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
STRUTHERS-James W. Aeppli, 84, passed away at his residence. James was born May 29, 1928 in Struthers, a son of Allen and Edith Knoll Aeppli. He lived in the area his entire life. James was a proud Navy veteran of the Korean War and he worked as an electrician at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company for over 40 years, where he was the last hourly employee. He was a member of the Mahoning Valley Grange, and the U.S.S. Bataan Association. He loved to golf and study American History and was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing at his cabin in Forest County, PA. James leaves two sons, Mark L. (Kimberly) Aeppli of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and John S. Aeppli of Youngstown; five sisters, Lillian Miles of Youngstown, Dorothy Hughes of Fayetteville, N.C., JoAnn DeLisio of Struthers, Nettie Lee Williams of Vacaville, Calif. and Donna Moulder of St. Clairsville; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Aeppli of Poland. He also leaves two grandchildren, Jason and Amanda and two great-grandchildren, Brenden and Lillian. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Edward and Ronald Aeppli.
