New Middletown – Private Services were held for Irene Savaet 94, who died peacefully on August 14, 2024 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown, Ohio, born on June 12, 1930 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John and Helen (Mielcusny) Grzebieniak. She was married to Stanley Savaet  on July 7, 1951, who preceded her in death February 27, 2008.

Irene graduated from New Castle High School and was employed at the North Lima post office for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, preparing lunch for her sons and grandchildren on a daily basis, but especially having tea parties and playing cards with her grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her religion and spent many hours on EWTN. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, taking walks, gardening and listening to talk radio.

She is survived by three sons, Stanley (Cheri) Savaet, David (Linda) Savaet, and Thomas (Linda) Savaet, and daughter Cathleen Warren. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, a sister Alice Ostrowski and a brother John (Mary) Grzebieniak.
