NEW SPRINGFIELD-Ida Jean Brewer passed away Sunday at Vibra Hospital in Boardman. Jean was born on June 7, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Madeline Hooten Wilson. She attended Poland Seminary High School and was retired from Giant Eagle. Jean leaves one son Steven Brewer of Warren, a daughter Darci Johns of New Middletown, two brothers Michael Wilson and Glenn Wilson, five sisters Dianne Harker-Green, Jacqulyn Manning, Sally Smith, Elizabeth Wilson, Ethel LaBrecque, two grandchildren Ashley N. Miller and Caitlin Brewer and many nieces and nephews. Jean's final gift was a donation of her eyes to the Cleveland Eye Bank. Jean was preceded in death by her parents,an infant daughter Karen Jean Brewer and a brother Harry Wilson. Jean's significant other and life partner of over 30 years, Donald W. Sheely, who passed Monday, will share calling hours and services with her.
