STRUTHERS-Gregory Semankiw, 91, of Struthers, passed away at Omni Manor Health Care Center on the morning of Monday, July 29, 2013. Gregory was born in the Ukraine on February 12, 1922, a son of John and Maria Semankiw. He came to the United States in 1955 and was retired from the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Youngstown. He enjoyed doing carpentry and tending to his garden. Gregory married the former Maria Hewalo in 1946 and she passed away in 2007. He leaves one son, Roman Semankiw of Struthers; one daughter, Gerri (Thomas) Bickerton of Vienna, VA; two grandchildren, Patrick (Nichole) Bickerton and Laura Bickerton. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Prokop Semankiw.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gregory's name to the donor's choice.
