NEW MIDDLETOWN - Gregory G. Lavelle, 51, of New Middletown died Saturday evening at Liver disease. Gregory was born on June 5, 1956 in Youngstown, OH, a son of James E. Sr. and Lorreta M. McGarry LaVelle. He lived his entire life in this area. Greg was a 1976 graduate of Springfield Local High School, and later attended and graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He worked for the last fifteen years as a legal assistant with his brother and with Attorney James Vivo. Greg was a well read man; a fan of the New York Football Giants, Elmton Pizza and National Public Radio. He is survived by his father James of New Middletown and two brothers, James Lavelle, Jr. of St. Augustine, FL. and Mark Lavelle of New Middletown. He also leaves one nephew and nine nieces with whom he was very close. Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta and one brother, Christopher Lavelle.
