Gladys was born July 9, 1953, in Youngstown a daughter of John Gladys L. Waltman DeGenaro. Gladys was an lifelong area resident and started working at the Leland E. Clegg Insurance Agency in 1969 and still maintained her life and property insurance license.  She married Pat Gray on January 31, 1976, and joined him working at Lake Park Cemetery in 1988, at which time she became the office manager.

She loved antiquing, and in true female fashion she loved to shop, especially at Target.  Her favorite pastime was kickboxing with the Struthers Cardio Kickboxing Group and driving the Red Rocket with Pat.

Gladys leaves her mother Gladys DeGenaro, and her two sisters Janet DeGenaro and Judy DeGenaro, who was not only her friend but her caregiver for the last eight weeks since her husbands passing. She also leaves her brother- in- laws Patsy Ciccotelli and Bob Gray and  a sister-in-law Lucille Gray.  She had a close relationship with her cousins, nieces and nephews and life long friends.

Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Pat, her father, John DeGenaro, and her grandparents.
