Services: Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in New Middletown.

Visitation: Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, one hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning.

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Georgeann Burkey, 71, passed away at her residence in New Middletown. Georgeann was born February 15, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Loretta Pallotta McGehee. She worked at Mahoning County Human Services as a fiscal administrator for 32 years and then retired. Georgeann volunteered for the American Red Cross and enjoyed assisting the elderly through the AARP organization. She was a member of the disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary and the Catholic War Veteran's Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Georgeann leaves behind her son Chris (Penny) Cole of Youngstown, a daughter Bernadine Cole of Youngstown, a granddaughter Carrie (Trevor) Ward of Valencia, PA, and two other grandchildren Tabatha Cole and Chris C. Cole, Jr.; twelve step grandchildren, including Matthew Melnek and Jennifer (Joey) Roberts; six great grandchildren and a beloved Grand pet Axle. Georgeann was preceded in death by her husband's, John J. Cole who died in 1969, Charles R. Baird who died in 1981 and Harry E. Burkey who died in 2002.
