Austintown - George W. Ondrey, 87, of Briarfield Manor, formerly of Struthers died on Saturday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. George was born on October 24, 1921 in Struthers, a son of John and Mary Balun Ondrey and was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church in Boardman and had worked at Republic Steel for 37 years retiring in 1983. George leaves his wife, the former Sophie Kuna, whom he married on May 13, 1950, two daughters, Debra (William) Flaugh and Sandra (Robert) Semko, both of Beaver Township; two granddaughters, Samantha and Annie and one step-grandson, Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and John Ondrey; four sisters, Mary Renovick, Betty Macek, Margaret Opsitnik and infant Dorothy.
