Services: Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Clemente Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

STRUTHERS-Genevieve K. Sakas, 87, of Struthers passed away on Tuesday morning. Genevieve was born on June 14, 1925 in Struthers, a daughter of Andrew and Catherine Smolko Tomko and lived in the area her entire life. She was a 1943 Struthers High School graduate and attended Youngstown Business College. Genvieve worked at Strausbaugh Motors, the Sky High Drive-In and retired from Sears as a teletype and catalog department. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Paish, the church's Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the St. Anthony's Society of Struthers. She loved casino trips, enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping and eating out. She was a beloved caregiver for her family. Genevieve married John S. (Archie) Sakas on June 12, 1948 and he passed on October 1, 1993. She leaves one son, John T. (Diane) Sakas of Westminstr, CO; one daughter, Victoria J. (Michael) Papalia of Struthers; four brother, Thmoas (Marjorie) Tomko of Littleton, CO; Phillip Tomko and Raymond (June) Tomko, both of Struthers and Andrew Tomko of Thornton, CO; four grandchildren, Taryn (Paul) Orlovsky, Nathan Papalia, Jonathan and Magan Sakas and one great grandchild, Rylie Orlovsky and her beloved dog (Mia). Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Edward and John Tomko. The family would like to thank Dr. Traikoff for his compassion and care of our beloved mother and special thanks to St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Hospice House and Maplecrest Nursing Home for all their love and support.
