New Middletown - Genevieve I. Jenny Bortz, 86, of New Middletown passed away on Sunday at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. Genevieve was born on April 28, 1923 in Vandergrift, Pa., a daughter of Lisle and Netti Walker. She married Donald T. Bortz on Oct. 20, 1941. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Apollo, Pa. Genevieve leaves behind her son, Donald E. Bortz of Columbus and two daughters, Norma Jean Bortz of New Middletown and Marilyn (Timothy) Christian of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, who died Feb. 25, 1994; a brother, Norwood Red Walker; and a sister, Alma Louise Walker.
