Poland – A prayer service will be held at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers at 9:30 am on Wednesday followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian burial at St. Nicholas / Christ Our Savior Parish in Struthers for Gemma Mignella, 84, of Poland who died Saturday evening. Gemma was born February 8, 1931, in Bugnara Aquila, Italy, a daughter of Nicola and Marta Nolfi.  She came to the United States in 1947 and moved to Poland in 1958.  She originally worked for the Moyer Company.  She married Saverio "Sam" Mignella on April 26, 1958.  Gemma was a member of St. Nicholas / Christ Our Savior Parish and was a devout Catholic and strong in her faith.  She supported and cared for her sister and mother through their final days and was an extraordinary mother and grandmother.  Her love for her grandsons was beyond measure. Gemma leaves her two sons Atty. David (Mary) Mignella of Boardman and Dr. Ronnie (Sherri) Mignella of Hermitage, PA., and two grandsons Saverio and Santino Mignella. Gemma was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, who died September 1, 1999, and her sister, Mary Nolfi, who died in 1995. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
