Visitation: Family will have visitation prior to the memorial service, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at New Springfield Church of God.

PETERSBURG - Gary G. Carter, 62, of Petersburg died at his residence on Sunday afternoon. Gary was born October 26, 1948 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, a son of Thomas and Waneta Morey Carter. He served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 during Viet Nam. Gary Married Julie Parsons on September 7, 1985. He was a member of VFW Post #2799 and was past Commander and a life member. He loved Mexican food, flea marketing, country music, his children and grandchildren. He was proud of the fact that all three of his children attend college. Gary leaves behind his wife, Julie; two sons, Nick Carter (Son of Nettie Barde) of Silver City, New Mexico and Dale Careter of Petersburg; one daughter, Waneta Carter of Petersburg and two granddaughters, Chloe and and Lilah. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call prior to the memorial service from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at New Springfield Church of God at 3649 E. Garfield Road in New Springfield, Ohio 44443.
