Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation: Friends may call at St. Matthias on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., one hour prior to the Mass.

YOUNGSTOWN - Frank A. Laskay passed away Friday at Hospice House in Poland, OH. Frank was born on August 28, 1926 in Campbell, a son of Michael and Irma Korchmaros Laskay. He graduated from Campbell Memorial High and later worked as a carpenter for many area contractors. He was president of Youngstown Curve Form for many years. Frank served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Air Borne as a qualified glider man. He married Helen Bacak on November 30, 1946. He was a member of St. Matthias Church, the Slovak Catholic Sokol No. 108 and the Hungarian Reformed Federations. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed trap shooting. He is survived by his wife Helen; his son, Donald (Carole) Laskay of Poland; a granddaughter, Monica Susan (Eric) Rebhan; and two sisters, Irma Kolesar of Poland and Esther Mihalcak of New Middletown. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl, Emery and Mike; and a sister Elizabeth Yancsurak.
