Struthers – Frances C. Bates, 72, passed away on Monday morning, October 17, 2016 at the Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Frances was born on March 2, 1944 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Frank and Phyllis Warg. She was a homemaker and she adored her family and her life with them. Frances married Joseph Bates on April 13, 1964 and he passed away June 30, 1997. She leaves one son Joseph (Wendy) Battle of Mineral Ridge, OH; three daughters, Sheila (Carl) Lingenfelter of Youngstown, Fran (PJ) Prest of Youngstown and Annell Bates of Mineral Ridge; two brothers, Daniel (Vicki) Warg of Harrisonburg, VA, Frankie (Kathy) Warg of Columbus, OH; three sisters, Barbara, (Jimmy) Sylvestri of Austintown, Susan Molito of Illinois and Sandy (Mark) Mahalick of Youngstown; six grandchildren Rachel Battle, Jesse Guerrier, Angela Battle, Melody Battle, Stacey Lingenfelter and Amanda Lingenfelter. She leaves several great grandchildren including Ethan and Kaiden who were the smile on her face and the happiness in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, daughter Ruth Kerr and a sister Beverly. Material tributes may be donated to Frances' family in her memory.
