New Middletown - Our loving Lord called home his child Frances Eleanor Reiter on April 14, 2011. She died surrounded by her devoted family after a sudden illness. Frances was born October 12, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio to Raymond and Eleanor Burr Harris. She was a graduate of North High School and a member of Old Springfield United Church of Christ in New Middletown. On April 12, 1946 she married Edward C. Reiter and moved to New Middletown, where she remained a life-long resident. She worked at Ohio Bell Telephone and later at Youngstown State University. She was also an active member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs for many years. In her younger years, Frances and her two sisters sang as a trio on radio and in school. She continued singing through the years, particularly at Christmas with her daughters joining in. This family tradition will remain in our hearts for eternity. Frances enjoyed crafts, puzzles, cards, camping and shopping until she dropped. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Cynthia Walker and Jessica (John) Phillips of New Middletown; two grandsons, Timothy Walker of New Middletown and Jason DePizzo (Jennifer Lohse) of Tucson, Arizona; three great-grandchildren Carson Walker, Hunter Walker, and Riley DePizzo; two sisters, Dona (Gene) Hammond of Boardman and Marilyn Linkoff of New Middletown and one sister-in-law, Ruth Ekis of Hubbard. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother Leon Harris.
