Frances Hixson, 65, passed away on Wednesday morning at the St. Elizabeth Health Center. Frances was born on December 6, 1946, in Leetonia, a daughter of Jack F. and Wilma E. Hinerman Allgood. She lived in the area her whole life. She worked as an Avon representative and as a teller at the Dollar Bank, from where she retired. Frances was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman and the Church's Altar Guild. She belonged to the Dollar Bank Retirement Club and the Coachman Camping Club. Frances leaves her husband, Melvin D. Hixson, whom she married on Feb. 14, 1987. She also leaves her mother, Wilma E. Allgood, one son James K. Hixson, both of Struthers, and two aunts Wanda Bowman of Columbiana and May Rakestraw of West Virginia. Frances was preceded in death by her father, one brother John Thomas Allgood, her grandmother Minnie Viola Hinerman and her first husband Larry Cunningham. Burial will be at the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
