NEW MIDDLETOWN - Florence D'Amico, 94, formerly of New Middletown, passed away Friday at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio. She was born April 9, 1916 in Youngstown, a daughter of Rocco and Mary Genello Giordano and had been a lifelong area resident. Florence had been a custodian for both, the Choffin Career Center and East High School, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, where she had been a piroghi worker; a member of the Springfield Township Senior Citizens and a member of AARP. Her husband Michael whom she married November 4, 1935 passed away August 19, 1962. Florence leaves a daughter, Mary Lou (Donald) Himes of New Middletown; a sister, Jean Nero of Lowellville; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons Joseph and Michael D'Amico; five brothers Tony, Steve, Frank and two brothers named Michael and two sisters, Elizabeth Pasquale and Josephine Giordano.
