Florence L. Zoldak passed away peacefully Monday, Dec 11, 2017, at Stuart Nursing Care and Restorative Center in Stuart, Florida.
She was born October 20, 1927, in Struthers, a daughter of Frank and Frances Gillotti Battista. She was a former member of Christ Our Savior/ St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida.
A lifelong resident of Struthers, she married Stephen E. Zoldak on July 13, 1948, where they resided until their move to Florida in 1985. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1996. She was a loving wife and mother. She will be remembered by friends and family alike for her positive attitude, open heart, and beautiful laugh.
She leaves behind her sons Jack (Laura) Zoldak of Versailles, KY, and Thomas Zoldak of Lexington, KY, and her daughters Paula (Danny) Howard of Jensen Beach, FL, and Barbara (Ray) Harter of Myrtle Beach, SC. She also leaves behind five grandchildren – Beth, Stephen, Ryan, Rachael, and Hayley, and a great grandchild, Owen.
Florence was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Belding, her parents, her brothers Joseph, Dominic, William, and James Battista, and her sisters Georgiana Minghetti, Mary Botsko, Catherine Conner, and Eleanor Papalia.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at Christ Our Savior/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, Ohio on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice or to Treasure Coast Health Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997 or online at www.treasurehealth.org or by phone at (772) 403-4500.
