Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

STRUTHERS-Fannie Scarnecchia, 86, of Struthers passed away on Sunday evening at Hospice House in Poland. Fannie was born September 22, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of Gaetano and Angeline Flask Carano. She married Salvador Scarnecchia on December 1, 1945. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church and the ladies auxiliary of Prisoner's of War. Fannie enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and at Mountaineer. Fannie leaves two daughters, Mary Lou (Raymond) Hricik of Sharon, PA, Marie Wess of Struthers and her fiancee Ray Calzo; five grandchildren, Kim Wess of Struthers and her fiancee Mark Caruso, David (Melanie) Gaffney of Canfield, Brian (Alison) Wess of Poland, Sean Gaffney of Boardman, Kelly (John Candle) Wess of North Carolina and eight great-grandchildren Christopher, Mark, Kaylee, Madison, Gavin, Mia, Ava and Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Salvador, who died October 23, 2009; one son-in-law Lyle Wess; two brothes Albert and Palmer Carano and one sister Loretta DiMarzio. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Hospice House for their compassion and care of Fannie.
