NEW SPRINGFIELD - E velyn was born on Feb 22,1927  in Atlanta a daughter of Albert and Lucille Miller Johns. She came to this area as a young lady and was a devoted wife and mother. She and Ted were married for 59 years until his passing in 2006. She was awarded numerous honors for her beautiful poetry that she enjoyed so much. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Joel Osteen and Billy Graham. Evelyn was a member of the Church of God until her illness took over. She was strong in her faith and loved by all. She was employed by Rutana Concessions for 35 years. Evelyn leaves a son Michael (Karen) Rutana of New Springfield ; her daughter, Carolyn (James) Joyce  of New Springfield; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
