Poland – Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the
Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown for Etta L. Hertlein, 80, of Poland, who passed away at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Youngstown.
Etta was born on May 12, 1935 in New Waterford, Ohio, a daughter of Seymour R. and Vernice M. Flickinger Johnson.
She came to this area in 1959 from Clearfield, PA and was still working at the Nemenz IGA Bakery, where she has worked for 30 years. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown.
Etta married Gerald L. Hertlein in 1957 and he passed away in1983.
She leaves one son, David L. (Karen) Hertlein of Longwood, FL; two daughters, Pam L. (Mike) Bader of New Springfield, and Melanie A. (David) Donnelly of Boardman; one
brother S. Reed (Kathy) Johnson of Clearfield, PA; three sisters, Marilyn Owens of York, PA, Joyce (Bud) Walters of Winfield, PA and Nancy Hopper of Manheim, PA; eight grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Bader and Patrick Bader, Ryan, Kevin and Erin Hertlein; Amanda (David) Havidich, Trevor Donnelly, Mollie Donnelly and two great grandchildren, Collin and Carly Havidich.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Frank Johnson.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church 10587 Main Street, New Middletown, Ohio 44442 and also one hour prior to the service in church on Monday, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
