BOARDMAN - Ethel Irene Mashakus, 71, passed away Monday evening at the Hospice House in Poland. Ethel was born on March 10, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Lena Bodnar Patterson. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid bowler. Ethel married Charles Mashakus on October 21, 1975 and he passed away on May 6, 1996. She is together again with her sweet Charlie. Ethel leaves two daughters, Rusty (Bob) LaRosa of Boardman, Arlene (Don) Bozetski of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three grandchildren, Shawn LaRosa, Laura (Charlie) Galeassi,Tony (Cheri) LaRosa, and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Madison and Chelsea. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her ten siblings. The family would like to thank the Hospice House Staff for the loving care they gave to Ethel.
