JOHNSTOWN, PA - Elsie Marie Ifft Beal, 89, of Johnstown, PA, formerly of Youngstown, passed away at the Laurelwood Care Center in Johnstown, Tuesday afternoon. Elsie was born on March 31, 1921 in Summitville, PA, a daughter of Herman and Mary Whiteman Ifft. She came to the Youngstown area as a young lady and was a waitress at numerous establishments. She was a former member of the Methodist Church in Johnstown. Elsie married George Beal in 1960 and he passed away in 1985. She leaves one sister, Betty Jane DeWitt in Armaugh, PA. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Richard G. Richards, one daughter, Barbara J. Hornyak and two brothers, William Ifft and Infant Robert Ifft.
