Services: A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church/Christ Our Savior Parish, both in Struthers.
Visitation: Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
STRUTHERS-Eleanor E. Lightner,82,of Struthers passed away Tuesday evening at Vibra Hospital in Boardman. Eleanor was born December 12, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of William and Mary Virginia Calo Lamb. She was a lifelong area resident and worked at Strouss Department Store as an assisstant buyer in the candy, department for 30 years and was also a clerk in the deli department at the Frattaroli's Market in Struthers. Eleanor was of the Catholic faith, was an avid bowler, liked to go to the casino's with her husband and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her family. She married Robert E. Lightner on June 28,1948. Besides her husband, she leaves six children, Janet(Paul)Majirsky of Berlin Center, Catherine Harris of Campbell, OH, Laura Finn of St. Petersburg, FL., Robert W. Lightner, Richard F. Lightner and Chris A.(Beverly) Lightner all of Struthers. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Louis DeCato of Austintown,OH and her dog Joy. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Florence DeCato and one nephew William DeCato.
