Services: Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Emanuel Lutheran Church of New Springfield.

Visitation: Friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown and for one half hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

NEW SPRINGFIELD - Eleanor Jane Ehasalu, 76, passed away Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. Eleanor, known to many as (Janie) was born July 15, 1934, in Enon Valley, PA, a daughter of Ross M. and Margaret Hutchison Russell and had been a lifelong area resident. Janie had worked for various doctor's offices in the area as an office manager and had worked in the billing department for Gold Cross Ambulance which had become Rural/Metro Ambulance for several years. She was a graduate of Mount Jackson High School in 1953, and had been a graduate of the New Castle business College. She had also served as the secretary of the church until the time of her death. She was an avid card player and enjoyed traveling, country music and Genealogy. She also loved animals, especially cats. Besides her husband, Hans, whom she married May 11, 1957, she leaves her son Gary Russell Ehasalu of Enon Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
