Funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10:30 am at Clemente Funeral Home followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at Christ Our Savior/St. Nicholas Church both in Struthers for Edward J. Walko who passed away Wednesday. Edward was born May 9, 1928 in Youngstown a son of John S. and Susan Staron Walko.  He lived in the area his entire life and served in the Army.  He married Mary Isabelle Bobby on June 17, 1950.  Edward worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube / Republic Steel as an electrical lineman supervisor for many years. He was a member of Christ Our Savior / St. Nicholas Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, Jednota Branch #731, Slovak Catholic Sokol of Youngstown and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Edward leaves his wife Mary Isabelle, one son Thomas E. Walko of McDonald, three daughters Judy L. (Jack) Worthington of Boardman, Mary Ann (Ron) Trevis of North Lima, and Barbara Walko of Boardman, one sister Florence (Albert) Pasquale of Boardman, eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Dorothy Estok, Margaret Ravella and Agnes Gresko. The family requests that material contributions in Edward's name be given to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at 208 West Front Street in Youngstown, OH 44503.
