POLAND- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown for Edward A. Herubin, 72, who passed away at Hospice House on Friday evening.
Edward was born December 27, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Edward F. and Kathryn Nicastro Herubin.
He lived in the area most of his life and was a graduate of Rayen High School, class of 1960. He attended YSU. He was a machine designer at Republic Steel, Wean United and the Kellogg Company and was owner/operator of the Machine Design Services since 1999 retireing in 2006. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church and The
Difference Makers at St. Lucy Church in Campbell. Edward was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus #4471 in Struthers and a member of the PNA in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Edward married the former Joanne Kovach February 22, 1964.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Edward S. Herubin of Florida, Chris (Joyce) Herubin of Greenford, Ohio, Ken (Colleen) Herubin of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and six grandchildren, Cortney, Lauren, Christopher, Riley, Shannon, Corey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Felix Herubin and a grandchild Carley.
The family would like to thank Mercy Health NICU and Hospice House for the care they showed to Edward.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, OH 44442, one hour before the Mass at church on Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m.
The Knights of Columbus will say the Rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:45 p.m.
