Poland - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Edward J. Dolansky, 73, who passed away peacefully at 12:09 a.m. on May 13, 2018 at Woodlands of Hampton with his family by his side.

Eddie was born Jan. 7, 1945 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, son of John and Anna Dolansky.

He attended St. Elizabeth School and Campbell Memorial H,.S. graduating in 1963 and soon after enlisting in the U.S. Army to serve his country during the Vietnam War.

Eddie, a classic car buff, enjoyed going to car shows with his wife in his 61 Chevy and traveling to various casinos with his friends; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Ann (DelSignore); a son, Edward J. Jr.; his brother, Thomas; and granddaughter Breanna.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Joseph Edward and wife Cathy of Erie, Pa., and Brian Anthony and Fiancee Elaine of Los Angeles; grandchildren Shannon, Joey, Jacob and Eddie of Erie; brother, John J. and Nancy of Chicago; and many loving friends and family members.

Friends may call at the church one hour before the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank family and friends who provided him with love, laughter and support throughout his life and Hospice of the Valley for the loving care given to Edward during his illness.
