Dorothy M. Hostetter, 88, died Thursday at Hospice House. Dorothy was born November 27, 1922, in New Kensington, PA, a daughter of Phillip and Dora Kale Trew. She came to Youngstown in 1946 and to New Middletown in 1958. She married George Peterson on March 22, 1946. He died February 17, 1978. She married Amos Hostetter on June 12, 1981, and he preceded her in death March 20, 1985. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Marion Chapter. Dorothy leaves her son, Ronald (Kathy) Peterson of Anascortes, Washington, a daughter, Winona (James) Rice of New Middletown, two stepsons, Charles Hostetter of Florida and Amos (Jeanette) Hostetter of Dennison, on stepdaughter, Sandy (Frank) Bartlone of Martinsburg, VA, two brothers, Douglas Trew of Tulsa, OK, and Gordon Trew of Brazil, one sister, Phylis Straw of Wexford, PA, 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husbands George and Amos, and one sister Virginia O'Neil. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Caprice Nursing Home and Hospice House for their care and compassion.
