POLAND - Dominic F. Barbero, Jr., 66, of Shepherd of the Valley, formerly of Boardman, passed away on Tuesday morning. Dominic was born on May 30, 1945 in Youngstown, a son of Dominic F. Sr. and Katherine Stellato Barbero. Dominic worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company for 18 years as a high mill operator and he retired as an over the road driver for Schwebels after working 20 years. He was of the Christian faith. He served in the Army during Vietnam; was a member of Teamsters Local #377 and was active in veterans organizations. Dominic loved to golf and enjoyed going to Mountaineer. Dominic leaves two sons, Dominic M. Barbero and Anthony E. Barbero, both of Boardman; two daughters, Kristen Tallman and Melissa A. (Michael) D'Altorio, both of Boardman; two sisters, Evelyn Lazich of Campbell and Phyllis (Chuck) Winyard of Poland; and four grandchiidren, Zachary Tallman, Kayla Muslovski, Julia Barbero and David D'Altorio. He leaves several nieces and nephews. Dominic was preceded in death by his parents.
